The blog will be silent for a few days (probably until Thursday or so) because I have to make an unexpected trip to Pennsylvania to help deal with a crisis involving a family friend. The situation does not personally involve me, so at this point I do not feel that it is my place to explain further except to say that it is an unforeseeable emergency and my girlfriend and I need to be there. I'll be leaving tonight and if all goes well will be in PA around 5:30 tomorrow morning.
