How Far Right is Wrong?

On an amusing note, I just noticed an article on World Nut Daily that lambastes Fox News anchor Shepard Smith for comments he made about domestic terrorist James Von Brunn and his unease about ultra-right wing groups in the United States. Among other things, Smith noted all the whackjobs out there who...
"...want to pretend [Obama's] not a citizen of the United States, who want to pretend that his religion is something they see as in some way troublesome to them and all of us."
I suspect that it was that little bit that pushed people's buttons over at WND, since "where's [President Obama's] birth certificate" has become their battle cry in recent months, despite the fact that a World Net Daily "investigation into Obama's birth certificate utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic." These days they choose to ignore that article and keep pushing new and evermore elaborate conspiracy theories instead. I guess that kind of stuff is easier than formulating policy-related arguments against the current administration.

In any event, this just goes to show that even though Fox News tends to be fairly right of center, it's still not far enough to the right for the real nutjobs out there.
